On Friday 14 November 2014, Valerie and residents met with representatives of Centro and National Express West Midlands at the Beacon Heights Park Homes site on Pinfold Lane to discuss bus services to the site.

On Tuesday 11 November 2014, the Health Select Committee, of which Valerie is a member, heard evidence from John Appleby, Chief Economist, King’s Fund, Anita Charlesworth, Chief Executive, Health Foundation, and Nigel Edwards, Chief Executive, Nuffield Trust, as part of the Committee’s inquiry into public expenditure on health and social care.

On Wednesday 12 November, the House of Commons Governance of the House Committee, of which Valerie is a member, held an informal meeting with over 50 members of the House of Commons staff.

On Tuesday 11 November, the House of Commons Governance of the House Committee, of which Valerie is a member, heard evidence from Rt Hon William Hague MP, Leader of the House of Commons; Rt Hon Angela Eagle MP, Shadow Leader of the House of Commons; followed by Sir Paul Beresford MP, Rt Hon Sir Menzies Campbell MP, Rt Hon Hazel Blears MP and Nigel Mills MP.

On Sunday 9 November 2014, Valerie attended the Remembrance Ceremonies and laid a wreath at the Walsall Town Centre and Darlaston Cenotaphs.
