On Wednesday 24 June 2014, Valerie met with the Parliamentary delegation from Sudan at the House of Commons.

On Tuesday 17 June 2014 the Health Select Committee, of which Valerie is a member, heard evidence on NHS complaints and raising concerns.

Next in the series to raise awareness of the important contributions of women in science is Professor Lesley Yellowlees.

On Friday 20 June 2014, Valerie visited Butts Primary School to meet with staff and pupils.
