On Friday 16 January 2015, Valerie chaired a roundtable meeting on inclusion in sport at Wolverhampton University’s Walsall Campus between the Khalsa Football Federation (KFF) and representatives of Sport England, the West Midlands County Sports Partnership, BeActive and Sporting Equals.

On Wednesday 14 January 2015 the Health Select Committee, of which Valerie is a member, heard evidence from Evidence given by Dr Clifford Mann, President, College of Emergency Medicine, and Professor Chris Ham, Chief Executive of The King’s Fund.

On Thursday 15 January 2015 a Westminster Hall Debate on national commissioning of NHS specialised services was proposed by Stephen Gilbert MP, St Austell and Newquay.

On Wednesday 14 January 2015 there was a Westminster Hall Debate on the Rohingya community in Burma.

On Tuesday 13 January 2015 at Health Question, Valerie raised the winter pressure funding for A and E.
