2016 April

On Monday 18th April 2016 during defence questions , there was a question on defence spending. I wanted to raise spending on the steel industry so I asked: :

On 17 April I attended the Vaisakhi festival which celebrates the the Punjabi new year falling on the first day of Vaisakh which is the first solar month of the Punjabi calendar and marks the birth of the Khalsa in the year 1699 and the Mesha Sankranti festival.

I chaired a Westminster Hall debate on the Procedure for debating and voting on Private Members’ Bills on Wednesday 13 April 2016.as a member of the Speaker’s Panel of Chairs.
