On Tuesday 12 July 2016, I attended the Indo-British All-Party Parliamentary Group annual general meeting and was pleased to be one of the vice-chairs of the APPG.

On Tuesday 12 July 2016, I chaired the Westminster Hall debate on North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust, which was moved by Joan Ryan MP who secured the Westminster Hall debate following a Care Quality Commission (CQC) report which found that the hospital’s emergency services are ‘inadquate’, medical care ‘requires improvement’ and that patient safety at the hospital had been ‘compromised’. Other members who took part were: David Burrows MP; Rt Hon David Lammy MP and Catherine West MP. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health, Ben Gummer MP, responded.

I was delighted to speak to the members of the Senate and National Assembly of Pakistan on Tuesday 12 July 2016.

Monday 11 July 2016 was the 21st anniversary of the worst atrocity on European soil since World War Two when over 8,000 men and boys were murdered because of their faith.

At Business Questions to the leader of the House I raised the issue of the ending of the care.data scheme. The Government published the Caldicott report into the scheme on Wednesday 6 July 2016 on the same day as the Chilcot Report.
