It was a pleasure to attend a high-profile CEOs delegation led by Dr Naushad Forbes, President, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Co-chairman, Forbes Marshall – the first such business engagement between the two countries since Britain’s referendum to exit from the EU.

The UK’s decision to leave the European Union has tremendous implications for British agriculture. We’re now presented with a blank canvas for a domestic agricultural policy which is an opportunity for Parliament to shape a prosperous future for farming in this country. There are 11 farms in Walsall South which will be effected.

I have been contacted by many of my constituents opposed to the provisions to privatise the Land Registry. I first raised this in the House on 27 May 2016. The Backbench committee agreed to a debate which was held on Thursday 30 March 2016 led by David Lammy MP.

The Leave Campaign for the EU Referendum did not provide the country with a strategy to guide the UK to an exit out of the European Union. At Leader of the House on 30 June 2016, I called for clarification on the next steps following the vote on 23 June 2016.
