This week I support Baby Loss Awareness Week, which takes place 9-15 October 2017, to raise awareness about the issues surrounding pregnancy and baby loss in the UK, and to call for better bereavement care.

On Monday 11 September 2017 Valerie Vaz MP voted against the EU Withdrawal Bill, and led the opposition debate on Tuesday 12 September 2017 against the Government’s motion on the nomination of Members to Committees.

This has been a jaw dropping week of audacity by the Government. First with the Henry VIII powers under the EU withdrawal Bill to amend secondary legislation, fixing the composition on select committees against all the rules and conventions and not voting on a motion because the Government would lose.
