At Business Questions I raised various issues with the Leader of the House, Rt Hon David Lidington MP. My speech is below:

Hosted by Shailesh Vara MP, Steve Barclay MP, Jonathan Djanogly MP, Lucy Frazer MP, Heidi Allen MP, Stewart Jackson MP and Daniel Zeichner MP. I was delighted to sample the delights of the small businesses in Cambridgeshire.

I was delighted to be asked to speak at the Inaugural Lecture of the Politics and International Relations Society on International Women’s Day at Bedford College and Royal Holloway. Daniel Atherton the President gave me a broad topic – Women In Politics today.

As Shadow Leader of the House I responded to the motion moved by the Leader of the House, David Lidington MP, to amend Standing Order No. 83S to allow the English Votes for English Laws rules to apply when discussing the issue of income tax in the UK Parliament. The reason for this amendment is that as of April 2017, the Scottish Parliament, under the provisions of the Scotland Act 2016, has the ability to set the rates and bands of income tax on non-savings and non-dividend income, along with other provisions.
