On Wednesday 17 July 2019, I responded to the opening of a debate on the Gemma White QC report on bullying and harassment in Parliament. The report outlines the testimony collected in an extremely accessible way, but it does not make for pleasant reading.

Summer Reading Challenge

I wholeheartedly support the campaign run by the Reading Agency to encourage all primary school children to take part in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge which launched on Saturday 13 July 2019. The Challenge helps get over 700,000 children into libraries each year.

Valerie Vaz MP, Shadow Leader of the House of Commons, responding to the publication of The Bullying and Harassment of Members of Parliament Staff report led by Gemma White QC, said:
