I responded to the Business Statement on Thursday 3 September 2020, criticising the Government’s shambolic handling of A-level and GCSE results. You can read my full speech below: 

On Wednesday 2 September 2020 the Government tabled a motion which extended virtual parliamentary proceedings until 3 November 2020. As Shadow Leader of the House, I have been calling on the Government to extend virtual proceedings to continue to allow MPs who are unable to attend Parliament for health reasons to participate remotely. I welcomed the decision to extend virtual proceedings as a necessary way of enabling Parliament to work safely during the pandemic. Responding to the motion, I said:
