Opposition Day Debate: Protecting Britain’s Steel Industry

A second Opposition Day Debate was held on protecting Britain’s steel industry. The British steel industry produces 7 million tonnes of crude steel a year, around 70% of the UK’s annual requirement. 96% of steel used in construction and infrastructure in the UK is recovered and recycled to be used again and again.

Valerie donates National Book Tokens to Old Church Primary School

I participated in a ‘Westminster Quiz’ organised by the Author’s Licencing and Collecting Society and won £100 worth of National Book Tokens. I have donated these tokens to Old Church Primary School, who used them to purchase new books for pupils to support change, bereavement, and well-being.
