On Wednesday, 26 January 2022, it was announced that I have been appointed to the UK-EU Parliamentary Partnership Assembly. The Assembly is a new body established to allow members of the UK and EU Parliaments to discuss and scrutinise the implementation of the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA). The TCA sets out the relationship between the UK and the European Union after the UK’s departure.

On Tuesday 25 January 2022, I voted on the Judicial Review and Courts Bill at Report Stage and Third Reading.

On Tuesday 25 January 2022 I asked the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development affairs about British citizens detained in Iran.

On Monday 24 January 2022, I voted on the Leasehold Reform (Ground Rent) Bill at Report Stage.

On Saturday 22 January I went to watch Walsall FC play Exeter City at Banks’s Stadium. It was a great display from Walsall. Unfortunately things didn’t go our way this time, and Exeter won 2-0. During my visit I met with Walsall FC’s Chairman Leigh Pomlett and the CEO Stefan Gamble.
