Valerie visits Walsall African Caribbean Community Centre

I visited the Walsall African Caribbean Centre to celebrate Black History Month on Saturday 29 October 2016. I was accompanied by Cllr Eileen Russell, St Matthews. There were representatives of various organisations such as WHG and Age UK to provide information and support for members of the community.

There was also a demonstration of life saving skills. I was instructed by Denise Smith to use a defibrillator. I was unable to taste the delicious food that was being prepared in the kitchen. This event is a good opportunity for members of the community to share expertise.
