On Saturday 20 May 2017 I attended the open day of Zia-E-Madinah Masjid in Darlaston. Themes on display were the Holy Qur’an, the Prophets, Islamic contribution to science, Women in Islam and various Islamic artefacts.
Zia-E-Madinah Masjid has a beautiful large prayer hall on the ground floor and an equal sized community hall on the first floor, which is used for providing teaching classes for the young and old. The hall is also used for community meetings, gatherings, health events or programmes/ training such as Islamic awareness, and working closely with the local Police to bring drug awareness to the community.
The Royal Air Force and local Church representatives also attended the open day.
You can find out more information about the mosque, including how to arrange a visit or tour, on their website: http://www.zia-e-madinah.org/cms.php?Content_ID=65
