On 18 October 2017 I attended the Opposition Day debate on Universal Credit to urge Government to pause Universal Credit and stop driving up poverty and homelessness.
The following motion was put to the House:
‘That this House calls on the Government to pause the roll-out of Universal Credit full service’
I voted for the motion which was passed by 299-0.
