On 29 June 2018 I attended Kings Hill Primary School where students had a debate to celebrate ‘EqualiTeas’ marking 90 years since the Representation of the People (Equal Franchise) Act became law.
Year 5 pupils debated a motion on whether women should be paid the same as men. After an exciting debate the motion was passed with an overwhelming majority. I was delighted to see so many young people engage with this important anniversary.
