On Sunday 13 October 2019, I arranged for the High Commissioner for Bangladesh, Saida Muna Tasneem, to visit a new mosque which is nearing completion on Cook Street in Darlaston. I am pictured above with the High Commissioner and Nahid Ahmed.
The mosque is a beautiful building which will have an inter-faith space in which conferences can be held by members of all communities. It is a fantastic place which will bring together the whole community of Walsall.
When the work is completed it will be a place of worship and a meeting place for members of the community in Darlaston. It was good to see so many people attending.
