I have signed a letter to the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs calling on the Government to meet its commitments on distributing COVID-19 vaccines worldwide. The letter was written after a debate I attended in Westminster Hall on 13 January 2022.
In June 2021 the Prime Minister committed that the UK would donate 100 million vaccines by the end of June 2022. As of 14 December 2021, only 21.2 million doses had been delivered. The Government must act to meet its target, and end the pandemic everywhere.
