The English Football League and its 72 League Clubs are coming together to launch the ‘Together – Supporting Communities’ initiative during the current cost-of-living crisis. This scheme will provide community services and matchday offers to help families in challenging economic times and contribute towards the Government’s ‘Help for Households’ initiative.
Walsall FC is taking part in this project and is providing a range of community support initiatives, including:
– Matchday experiences that offer local children and families from junior teams a free match visit, flag bearer, and ball assistant packages throughout the year and a complimentary ticket for each player.
– School partners games with two games per season where families can purchase tickets at reduced prices. A percentage of the ticket sales will be donated to the schools involved.
I am looking forward to seeing the success of these initiatives and how they maximise the power of the local community coming together.
