During Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Questions ( BEIS) on 17 January 2023 I asked the Minister:

‘Will the Minister confirm that Post Offices, which are at the heart of our community, will receive support for their energy bills so that they can continue to function for the rest of the community?’

The Minister responded:

‘Post Offices, like all non-domestic businesses and institutions, will benefit from the new Energy Price Discount Scheme, which follows the Energy Bill Relief Scheme, as announced by the Chancellor.’

A constituent who runs a post office contacted me to voice their concerns about rising energy bills and that the Energy Bill Relief Scheme coming to an end. He said it will be challenging for their Post Office business and the service to the wider community. I hope the Minister is right that there is the support for our Post Offices.
