Valerie Attends Indo-British All Party Parliamentary Group

On Monday 16 January I attended a private roundtable with the Indo-British All Party Parliamentary Group. The roundtable was addressed by His Excellency the Indian High Commissioner, Shri Vikram K. Doraiswami, who has served in London since September 2022. His Excellency has also served as High Commissioner to Bangladesh and as the lead on the new Indo-Pacific Division in the Ministry of External Affairs. 

We had a wide ranging discussion on trade agreements, students and the important international issues.  I congratulated the High Commissioner on e-Visas and we talked about India’s role in the world. India will host the G20 Leaders’ Summit for the first time in 2023. I am pictured between Virendra Sharma MP (Southall) and the High Commissioner.
