#CleanTheAir Event with Lets Talk Clean Air in Whalley Range

On Wednesday, 7 June 2023, I met local campaigners from Manchester representing the Let’s Talk Clean Air in Whalley Range. They are campaigning for environmental justice and clean air.  They have made a film to highlight this. Dr Sinead Millwood cycled to work and was shocked at the high levels of pollution. They have also suggested that there are 6 things you can do:

• Talk to friends, family and politicians
• Go local
• Walk or wheel to school
• Share a car
• Avoid burning at home
• Save and plant trees and green space

They also want a commitment from the Government to set and meet legally binding targets for Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and Particulate Matter (PM2.5) levels that align with the World Health Organisation 2021 guidelines.
