On Thursday 18 October 2012, at Women and Equalities Questions, Valerie asked the Minister if she will look at the Australian model which the Federal Department use to increase women’s participation. The Australian model is 40% men, 40% women and 20% of either gender to increase the number of women on Boards.

At Business Questions, Valerie asked the Leader of the House for an urgent debate on the sale of publicly owned freehold assets.
Valerie said:
“The Government does not appear to be aware of which parts of the publically owned freehold assets are being sold off. These sales should be closely audited in the public interest, so public money and property is accounted for.”
