No CommentsOn Sunday 13th November 2011, Valerie attended the Remberance Sunday events at the Cenotaphs in Walsall Town Centre and in Darlaston. Valerie took part in the services and laid wreaths in memory of the fallen.

On Friday 14th October 2011, Valerie met with a group of residents at Stafford Road in Darlaston. The road surface at Stafford Road is in a particularly poor condition and Valerie wanted to see the situation for herself.

Valerie met the Walsall Harmonic Male Voice Choir. The choir was formed in 1970 from the membership of the Walsall Harmonic and Social Society, which was founded in 1897. They meet every Monday evening at The Chuckery Club, 44 Beacon Street, Walsall. The Choir’s membership is around 20 singers, and they are directed by Bryan Jeffreys, a founder-member.

On Saturday 10th September, Valerie visited Chuckery-based casting manufacturer Chamberlin and Hill and nominated their turbocharger castings to represent Walsall South in the Made by Britain scheme.
