I have written to the West Midlands Mayor Andy Street regarding proposals to build a 300 space car park on green belt land in my constituency. As part of these proposals, mature trees are being removed along Birmingham Road without consulting local residents. I object to this ill-conceived project, which undermines the Mayor’s public commitment to protect Green Belt sites.

On 7 April 2021, I co-signed letters to the Prime Minister, Foreign Secretary and Health Secretary regarding the decision to place Pakistan and Bangladesh on the travel ‘red list’, with the ban coming into force at very short notice at 4am on 9 April 2021.
