No CommentsThe Government has faced a number of defeats in the courts. The International Court of Justice said that Britain’s acquisition of the Chagos archipelago in the 1960s was “wrongful” and the High Court ruled that the Government’s ‘Right to Rent’ scheme is “discriminatory” and that its fracking guidelines are“unlawful”.

I attended the ‘Taste of Cornwall’ event at the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 5 March, St. Piran’s day, where a wonderful selection of Cornish produce was on show.

We watched Darlaston Town (1874) FC achieve a 3-0 victory over Wyrley on Saturday 4 March 2019. This game brought Darlaston’s run of matches unbeaten to 15.

The Government’s “Implications for business and trade of a no deal exit on 29 March 2019” published on 26 February 2019 states that a no-deal Brexit could mean that the UK economy would be 9% smaller in the long term, the flow of goods through Dover would be “significantly reduced for months” and the Government are behind on contingency planning for a third of their critical projects.
