Delivering Diwali Boxes

On Saturday 21 November 2020, I spent the day delivering Diwali boxes to our senior citizens with volunteers from Darlaston All Active. 

I am pictured above with Darlaston All Active’s Centre Manager, Sharon Felton, who has helped coordinate voluntary support for senior and vulnerable people during the lockdown. 

The Diwali Boxes were prepared by Sewa Kitchen, packed with cooked Diwali food and a Gujrati sweet. Many thanks to Sanjay and the team for all their hard work, providing 250 Diwali boxes for the community across Walsall South. We are pictured above delivering boxes to senior citizens at Deighton Court.

We also visited Apna Ghar Day Centre & Sheltered Housing. 

I was presented with a copy of ‘Indian Vegetarian Snacks’, a cookbook by Pranay Paw which he has written during lockdown.
