Ed Miliband, Leader of the Labour Party and leader of HM Opposition, announced a new policy to freeze gas and electricity bills until 2017 if he became Prime Minister in 2015.
Valerie said:
“Since David Cameron became Prime Minister in May 2010, the average household bill for gas and electrics has gone up by £300 a year.”
“Ed Miliband has announced that a Labour Government will freeze gas and electric bills until 2017. This price freeze will see a typical household make a yearly saving of £120.”
“Labour is committed to delivering fairness in the long term by resetting the energy markets by increasing competition and transparency within the industry. In January 2017 a Labour Government will replace OFGEM with a tough new energy watchdog.”
