The crisis of shop closures facing town centres across the country, including Walsall, is having a negative impact on both local communities and the wider UK economy. To combat this, Usdaw launched their Industrial Strategy for Retail at an event I attended in Parliament on Wednesday 5 June 2019.
To date 1390 people have signed a Change.org petition to oppose the loss of two staff at Walsall Arboretum.

Welsh Tourism Week was celebrated at an event in Parliament on 15 May 2019 hosted by the Shadow Secretary of State for Wales, Christina Rees MP.
Since the beginning of the 20th century, the House has routinely sat for 150 days a year. This Session is now double that, and there is absolutely no end in sight. We are now straddling three calendar years.
