As part of Diwali celebrations, I was delighted to attend the festival of light event the New Art Gallery Walsall on Saturday 10 November 2018. The event delved into the Rivers of India to understand why it plays an important role in the lives of Indians.
I spoke at the remembrance event at the Crossing at St Paul’s on Saturday 10 November 2018. I spoke about the need for unity among all groups and the sacrifice made by the people of the Commonwealth.
As Shadow Leader of the House, I spoke at the Youth Parliament debate on 9 November 2018.
On 8 November 2018, a historic one-day event took place in the House of Commons to bring together women parliamentarians from around the world came to the House of Commons to celebrate their achievements, discuss how to strengthen visibility, and further empower women parliamentarians to continue to drive change nationally and internationally.

At 13:45 on 06 November 2018 Parliament was suspended for ninety minutes so that members could attend a service to mark the Centenary of the end of the First World War. I joined with members of both houses and the public at St Margaret’s Church to remember the bravery and sacrifice of those who lost
On Monday 5 November 2018, I responded to the Leader of the House at the debate on the Dame Laura Cox report on the bullying and harassment of House of Commons staff.
