As Shadow Leader of the House of Commons, on Wednesday 28 March 2018, I gave oral evidence to the Procedure Committee for its inquiry into Voting by proxy in the House of Commons.
At a Delegated Legislation Committee on Tuesday 27 March 2018, I responded to the following motion: “That an Humble Address be presented to Her Majesty, praying that Her Majesty will appoint Sarah Chambers as an Electoral Commissioner with effect from 31 March 2018 for the period ending 30 March 2022.”
I attended Turban Awareness Day in Parliament on Tuesday 27 March 2018, organised by the Sikh Channel, to promote diversity and create awareness of the Sikh Turban, the Sikh Faith and its contribution to the British way of life, industry and culture. It was great to meet Epilepsy Action trustee and author Stephen Timewell who has published his third book “Time Well Spent with Epilepsy”.
As Vice-Chair of the APPG on Epilepsy, I joined Epilepsy Action on Monday 26 March 2018 to celebrate Purple Day in Parliament. Purple Day is an internationally recognised day dedicated to raising awareness about epilepsy.
