In Westminster there is a growing anticipation around the Budget Statement and calls from the Opposition to end the austerity measures of the last 7 years.
On Tuesday 21 November 2017 the third day of the Committee of the Whole House for the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill took place. A Committee of the Whole House takes place in the House of Commons Chamber and is presided over by the chairman of the Ways and Means committee.

During Business Questions I raised the eviction notices sent out following the roll-out of universal credit 38 days before Christmas - this is from a heartless Government whose policies are hurting the most vulnerable in society.
Tuesday 14 November 2017 saw the first day of The European Union (Withdrawal) Bill's Committee of the Whole House. A Committee of the Whole House takes place in the House of Commons Chamber and is presided over by the chairman of the Ways and Means committee. The Bill will repeal the European Communities Act 1972
