The Revd Liz Jones held a special service for HM Queen Elizabeth to celebrate her 90 Birthday during the weekend of the 11th and 12th of June 2016. Following the Service I wrote to Her Majesty the Queen to let her know of the event. Her Majesty expressing her gratitude for the event said
HMRC signed a £75 million contract with Concentrix to correct tax credit claims. I am concerned for the growing number of my constituents and others across the UK who have had their tax credits unfairly and unjustly stopped. This failure has placed many people under strain in forcing them to prove their eligibility for tax
There are only 134 blood donors from black or Asian communities in Walsall South. More donors are needed. The ‘Represent’ campaign highlights that only 3% of regular blood donors last year were from black and Asian communities.
I attended a multi faith event in Walsall, at Grace Academy on Saturday 5th November 2016. It was a fantastic occasion to highlight the importance of togetherness in the community, especially with the different cultures and religions represented. As well as the Christian faith , the Ravidassia Community were also present.
On Friday 4 November, I arranged a meeting with the Environment Agency (EA), and the Beacon Action Group representatives to discuss issues relating to Great Barr Hall and Park. It appears that the EA have not made any comments on the application as this has been split from the development.
On Thursday 3 November 2016, as Shadow Leader of the House, I started Business questions by calling for the Government to announce the forthcoming business.

A worsening problem, an estimated 23,000 assaults on officers are recorded each year in England and Wales, with the national Police Force declining by 20,000 since 2010.
