I have written to the Home Secretary, the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, the Commander of the Walsall Local Policing Unit and the Chief Executive of Walsall MBC after the English Defence League (EDL) said that it would hold a demonstration in Walsall on 15 August 2015.
On Thursday 18 June 2015 Parliament debated the EU Referendum Bill.
On Tuesday 16 June 2015 I spoke with teachers visiting Parliament as part of a seminar organised by the Parliament Education Service.
The RAC is one of the larger employers in Walsall South employing nearly 700 people. On Friday 12 June 2015 I visited the group's headquarters at Brockhurst Crescent. I was shown around by Dan Sparks the Head of Operations at the RAC and Nick Lys the Public Affairs Manager.
On Thursday, 11th June 2015, I led an Adjournment debate in the House of Commons on the issue of mental health in higher education.
On Sunday 7 June 2015, I was a guest on the Sunday Politics West Midlands programme on BBC One. There were a range of topics discussed including the Government's plans for devolution to cities, whether these plans should also extend to counties and whether we should still support HS2.
