Valerie spoke on Radio WM on Wednesday 7 January 2015 about the crisis in A & E.
On Tuesday 6 January 2015 the Health Select Committee, of which Valerie is a member, heard evidence from the General Medical Council (GMC) at the annual accountability hearing.
On Monday 5 January 2015,a Delegated Legislation Committee, of which Valerie sat as a member, scrutinised the Company, Limited Liability Partnerships and Business Names Regulations 2014.
On Thursday 18 December 2014 Valerie Vaz, Member of Parliament for Walsall South, secured a meeting with the Rt Hon Norman Lamb MP, the Minister for State for Care and Support, after raising the John’s Campaign in the House of Commons Christmas Adjournment debate.
On Christmas Eve, on BBC2, Valerie appeared on University Challenge representing Royal Holloway and Bedford New College.
Valerie has welcomed a decision by Walsall MBC to upgrade the existing Zebra Crossing on Darlaston Road to a signal controlled Puffin Crossing following a 3 year campaign with residents.
On Thursday 18 December 2014 at Business Questions, Valerie thanked the Leader of the House for the provision of an early debate on the recommendations of the Governance Committee's report or which Valerie was a member of.
On Wednesday 17 December 2014 the Government announced further cuts of 15.5% to Walsall Council’s financial settlement.
