On Thursday 13 March 2014, the committee heard evidence on the judicial review aspects of the Bill.
On Thursday 13 March 2014, Valerie voted for the motion calling on the Government to stop the badger culls which are currently underway.
On 11 March 2014 Valerie voted for the amendment tabled by Shadow Secretary of State for Health Andy Burnham to remove Clause 119 from the Care Bill. Unfortunately this amendment was defeated by the Coalition Government 297 to 239.
Valerie is a member of the Public Bill Committee on the Criminal Justice and Courts Bill. On Tuesday 11 March 2014, the committee heard evidence on the detention of young offenders.
On Tuesday 11 March 2014, the draft Statutory Instrument: The Social Security (Maternity Allowance) (Participating Wife or Civil Partner of Self-employed Earner) Regulations 2014 was debated in committee.
On Friday 7th March 2014, Valerie welcomed the Shadow Secretary of State for Education, Tristram Hunt MP, to Pheasey Park Farm Primary School to open the School’s digital Collaborative Classroom.
