The 2013 WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) awards were held in the Science Museum, Kensington, London.
Parliament Week will run from Friday 15 to Thursday 21 November 2013.
On Tuesday 12 November 2013 at Justice questions, Valerie Vaz MP asked the Justice secretary Chris Grayling about plans for further court closures.
On Tuesday 12 November 2013, The Health Select Committee, of which Valerie is a member, heard evidence from Norman Lamb MP, Minister of State for Care and Support, Department of Health, on management of long-term conditions.
Valerie signed the Charter to Stop the Payday Loan Rip-Off and called for tougher regulation of payday lenders.
On Sunday 10 November 2013, Valerie attended the Remembrance Sunday events at the Cenotaphs in Walsall Town Centre and in Darlaston. Valerie took part in the services and laid wreaths in memory of the fallen.
Valerie attended the Diwali celebrations at the New Art Gallery in Walsall on Saturday 10 November 2013. The theme of the event was to celebrate 100 years of Indian Cinema and Diwali.
