The accountability hearing with Public Health England (PHE) was held on Tuesday 19 November 2013 by the Health Select Committee, of which Valerie is a member.
On 19 November 2013 the Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt, made a statement in the House on the Government's response to the Francis Report.
As part of a programme of events for Parliament Week, Valerie met with a group of young students to talk about women in democracy on Monday 18 November 2013. This was organised by the Education team of Westminster Abbey.
From 16 - 23 November 2013 the Royal Society of Chemistry is celebrating Chemistry Week with a programme of events to promote a positive image of chemistry and increase the public understanding of the importance of chemical science.
