On Thursday 14 February 2013, Valerie spoke in a Backbench Business debate in the House of Commons on protecting future generations from violence against women and girls.
Valerie said : "I have set up an alert on inspection reports of healthcare providers in Walsall South by the Care Quality Commission. Providers are judged against 21 criteria and recommendations may be made for improvement where care is found not to meet the required standards."
