Valerie met the Walsall Harmonic Male Voice Choir. The choir was formed in 1970 from the membership of the Walsall Harmonic and Social Society, which was founded in 1897. They meet every Monday evening at The Chuckery Club, 44 Beacon Street, Walsall. The Choir’s membership is around 20 singers, and they are directed by Bryan Jeffreys,
On 14th September 2011 the House of Commons Health Select Committee, of which Valerie is a member, published reports into the healthcare regulators Monitor - responsible for the approval and regulation of Foundation Trusts - and the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which is responsible for inspection of NHS and social care providers.
