On Saturday 10th September, Valerie visited Chuckery-based casting manufacturer Chamberlin and Hill and nominated their turbocharger castings to represent Walsall South in the Made by Britain scheme.
On Friday 9th September, Valerie attended the meeting of the East Walsall Health Action Group at the Collingwood Centre in Pheasey.
Valerie visited the Funfair Day at St Mary’s the Mount Parish on Saturday 10th September. The Funfair Day was organised by The Daughters of Divine Love in order to raise money for charity.
On Wednesday 7th September 2011 Valerie voted against the government’s at its third reading in the House of Commons.
At the end of the school year Valerie attended the Chuckery Primary School 80th Birthday Carnival and the Joseph Leckie Community Technology College Fun Day.
Following the recent riots across many parts of England, including parts of the West Midlands, the Minister for Business and Enterprise has sent out a letter setting out advice for local businesses affected by the unrest, including access to practical advice, information and support on how they can recover as quickly as possible.
Valerie has today warned that cuts to police numbers will put crime reduction at risk in the West Midlands.
Valerie Vaz MP is calling on residents to nominate a product that is made or designed in Walsall South to highlight the best of the town’s manufacturing industry as part of the Made by Britain scheme.
