In the second part of the Opposition Day Debate, on Wednesday 11 January 2023 HM Opposition tabled a motion on the Long-term Strategy for the National Health Service.
I had the pleasure of chairing a meeting between Rick Parry, Chairman of the English Football League (EFL), and MPs in the Midlands region. This was the sixth meeting the EFL has had with MPs, as the league are speaking about their proposals to each region that makes up the EFL.

On 10 January 2023 The Commons debated amendments to the Stamp Duty Land Tax (Reduction) Bill. The Stamp Duty Land Tax (Reduction) Bill was introduced on 24 October 2022. The Bill intends to reduce for a temporary period the amount of stamp duty land tax chargeable on the acquisition of residential property.
