On Monday 16 January I was attended a private roundtable with the Indo-British All Party Parliamentary Group. The roundtable was addressed by His Excellency the Indian High Commissioner, Shri Vikram K. Doraiswami, who has served in London since September 2022.

On 10 January 2023 The Commons debated amendments to the Stamp Duty Land Tax (Reduction) Bill. The Stamp Duty Land Tax (Reduction) Bill was introduced on 24 October 2022. The Bill intends to reduce for a temporary period the amount of stamp duty land tax chargeable on the acquisition of residential property.
