I sat on the Bill Committee for the UK Infrastructure Bank Bill [Lords]. The UK Infrastructure Bank was established in June 2021, with funding of £22 billion over its first five years. The Bank, which is publicly owned, provides finance to the private sector and local government for infrastructure projects. It is currently operating in an
Labour Friends of Yemen hosted a meeting on Wednesday 17 November.
The National Security Bill returned to Parliament for its Report Stage on 16 November 2022. The Bill makes provisions around espionage, sabotage and persons acting for foreign powers. I voted for a number of amendments and New Clauses to the bill.

This week on Tuesday 15 November, I attended the annual Guru Nanak Gurpurb celebrations in the House of Commons, chaired by Preet Kaur Gill MP and held by the All Party Parliamentary Group for British Sikhs.
During Treasury Questions on the 15 November, there were a number of questions to the Chancellor about cutting red tape for small and medium-size enterprises.
Last month I tabled a number of written questions to the Secretary of State for Health, to gather data about the situation in Walsall South. Disappointingly, a lot of the data provided by the Minister was for the Black Country Integrated Care Board, which covers Walsall, Wolverhampton, Sandwell and Dudley.
