On Tuesday 20 April 2021, I attended an emergency meeting with the Leader of the Opposition following the announcement of the European Super League. We discussed what we could do to oppose the Super League with Malcolm Clarke, Chair of the Football Supporters Association.
I appeared on BBC Politics Midlands on Sunday 18 April 2021. We discussed the funeral of HRH Prince Phillip, vaccine passports and the upcoming local elections. You can watch the episode on iPlayer here: BBC iPlayer - Politics Midlands - 18/04/2021.
Responding on behalf of HM Opposition on Thursday 15 April 2021, I called for a debate on the inconsistencies in a recently published report from the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities. I also paid tribute to HRH Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh. You can read my speech below:

I have also written to Laura Shoaf, Managing Director of Transport for West Midlands about the removal of mature trees along Birmingham Road and the proposals to build a 300 space car park on green belt land as part of the Sprint Bus route.
I have written to the West Midlands Mayor Andy Street regarding proposals to build a 300 space car park on green belt land in my constituency. As part of these proposals, mature trees are being removed along Birmingham Road without consulting local residents. I object to this ill-conceived project, which undermines the Mayor's public commitment
On 7 April 2021, I co-signed letters to the Prime Minister, Foreign Secretary and Health Secretary regarding the decision to place Pakistan and Bangladesh on the travel ‘red list’, with the ban coming into force at very short notice at 4am on 9 April 2021.
