I have written to the Secretary of State for Transport on behalf of blind and partially sighted people in my constituency regarding safety measures at Walsall Railway Station.
A second Opposition Day Debate was held on protecting Britain's steel industry. The British steel industry produces 7 million tonnes of crude steel a year, around 70% of the UK’s annual requirement. 96% of steel used in construction and infrastructure in the UK is recovered and recycled to be used again and again.

I participated in a ‘Westminster Quiz’ organised by the Author’s Licencing and Collecting Society and won £100 worth of National Book Tokens. I have donated these tokens to Old Church Primary School, who used them to purchase new books for pupils to support change, bereavement, and well-being.

On Wednesday 16 June 2021 the Employment and Trade Union Rights (Dismissal and Re-engagement) Bill received its First Reading in the House of Commons. I am supporting this Private Members Bill, which seeks to amend the law to provide safeguards for workers against dismissal and re-engagement on inferior terms and conditions, known as ‘fire and rehire’.
