I am delighted that this painting by our local artist Andrew Tift, which is on display at Parliament, will be exhibited at our iconic internationally renowned gallery in Walsall.
The exhibition – entitled Andrew Tift: Immortalise – focuses on the genre of portraiture and combines brand new works with selected pieces from Tift’s portfolio, including the well-known acrylic painting of Tony Benn in the Parliamentary Art Collection.
Tony Benn’s portrait will join the diverse and rich collection of art exhibited at the New Art Gallery, including the Garman Ryan collection and artists such as Van Gogh, Monet and Picasso.
Andrew Tift: Immortalise is free and open to the public at The New Art Gallery Walsall from 25 May – 2 September 2018, Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 12pm-4pm. Closed Mondays and Bank Holidays.
