After observing two minutes’ silence in the Town Centre, I visited Darlaston Cenotaph on Victoria Road and laid a wreath there.
Whilst Remembrance Sunday was observed differently this year, communities across Walsall came together to pay our respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country. We normally have a service at St. Lawrence’s and then walk to the Memorial Gardens. This year we paid our respects in a different way to keep people safe.
I am photographed here with the beautiful commemorative wreaths made with hand-knitted crochet flowers by Darlaston Craft Club, who are part of Darlaston All Active charity.
