I tabled two written parliamentary questions to the Department of Health and Social Care on 22 November 2021 relating to GP and dentist recruitment in Walsall.
I joined MPs and musicians in Parliament Square on Wednesday 24 November 2021 in showing our support for a Bill which would ensure musicians are fairly paid. The Copyright (Rights and Remuneration of Musicians, etc) Bill, sponsored by Kevin Brennan MP, would make sure musicians are rewarded fairly and properly for their music through streaming platforms.
On Wednesday 24 November 2021, we welcomed home service personnel involved in Operation Pitting in Afghanistan. 120 soldiers were invited by James Gray MP and the APPG for the Armed Forces. The procession was held in New Palace Yard.
For two days, Monday 22 November 2021 and Tuesday 23 November 2021, the Commons debated the Health and Care Bill. The Bill is at the Report Stage. The Public Bill Committee reported the Bill with amendments to the House. The Commons debated these amendments.
A Requiem Mass was held In Westminster Cathedral for the late Sir David Amess MP on Tuesday 23 November 2021. Cardinal Vincent Nichols head of the Roman Catholics in the UK presided over the Mass. The Cathedral was filled to capacity for the Mass.
