In the week which marked the 755th anniversary of the first de Montfort Parliament, I responded to a Business Statement on Thursday 23rd January 2020.
I recently visited the Gurdwara in Pleck to celebrate the engagement of two constituents. Congratulations to the married couple on what was a joyous occasion – wishing them all the best for the future!
On Saturday 18 January, I attended the launch of Faith Meeting Faith at Expressions Café (73 Bridge Street, WS1 1JQ) which seeks to promote dialogue, friendship and understanding in our community. Faith Meeting Faith will become a place of welcome each month for people of whatever background, where conversations and coffee will lead to new friendships.
The theme for this year’s commemoration is ‘Stand Together’.
I responded to the second Business Statement of the New Year on 16 January 2020, pressing the Government to step up its efforts to bring Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe home. You can read my speech in full below:
